Tests Administered
Our veterinary radiology department administers a multitude of different tests and procedures on an emergency basis, and radiology imaging technology is constantly improving and expanding. Our radiologists utilize a variety of state-of-the-art equipment to aid in the diagnosis of different animal health problems. Below is a list of procedures that our team may perform.
X-rays: Mainly used to assess broken bones, this common test also allows veterinarians to see foreign objects in the body as well as some tumors.
Ultrasounds: This type of test produces images of the internal organs and can also be used to check on the health of pregnant animals and their babies.

Ailments We Diagnose
Veterinary radiologists are not directly involved in the treatment of pets, but they are vital to accurately and rapidly diagnosing health problems in dogs and cats. The following list, while not exhaustive, details issues that our radiology team can aid in identifying.
Broken bones: X-rays allow radiologists to examine bone structure and quickly identify fractures or irregularities.
Cancer: Advanced imaging can display tumors, masses, and other growths within the body.
Heart disease: Our diagnostic tools let our veterinarians see the heart’s size, irregularities, arterial blockage, and other problems.
Respiratory illness: Some tests are used to inspect the lungs and airways and can shed light on the severity of respiratory issues your pet may be facing.
